Finding a small purpose in a magnificent world

I want to see the world.

I want to meet and touch people who do not even know I exist.

In my dreams, I see the alluring blue waters of the seas; I see the crisp, clear coastal lines where the freedom of the water often meets the constraint of land. My mind draws the captivating images of mountain tops reaching high into the endless sky. I long to run through the rolling green hills that I see through the deep, brown eyes tunneling into my mind.

Yet, above all of the lands I dream to visit, I see the faces of those longing to be touched and those wishing to be loved. I want to travel to them and make an impact on their lives. I want to reach my hand out to them and allow them to see the light in a life that may often feel so dark.

I aspire to show people how to smile, how to be happy, and how to love. Throughout the most difficult of times, there is always a way out. To be able to spread my knowledge through the lessons I have learned is my true passion in life; it is now the one and only journey I so greatly desire to accomplish before my life comes to an end.

The life I have lived in Grand Rapids has been nothing less than extraordinary. The people I have met, the places I have seen, and the experiences I have had put my entire existence together like a large puzzle; each little piece is just as important as the next. But, as I become more mature and see the world through a fresh pair of eyes, I have realized that I long for a life with more meaning, a life with more purpose.

Although the life I dream to live may seem so distant, it is the path I truly aspire to follow. Step by step, I hope to make my way down the road to total happiness and complete contentment. I wish to see the other side of the world. I wish to experience the lives that are so opposite from mine that they feel like black and white. In this immense world, I hope to see the lessons I have learned shining through the lives of others.

For many years, I have been captivated by the world and the purpose of each and every life put onto it. Seven billion people and only one Earth. For as long as I can remember, I have sought for my passion and my purpose, but I truly believe that I know where it can be found. Guiding others and living an unknown life is all I wish to find in this miraculous and confounding world.
