Boys varsity golf finishes third in FHN Jamboree
The boys varsity golf team took on the Jamboree at FHN’s home course, Egypt Valley, on Wednesday, April 24. The Rangers placed third and formed their group of top 6 at the jamboree.
It was a 9-hole Jamboree, and only the top six players of each team were allowed to compete. The first on the list was junior captain Isaiah Huempfner, who shot an impressive 37. He has been essential all season and will continue to be one of the top players in each tournament. Behind him were seniors Justin Turner and Bradey Hamill, who shot a 43 and 44, respectively. Filling the other spots were freshman Joe Murdock and junior John Corey, who shot 46 and 47. Just behind them was junior Braden Lubben, who cranked out a 49.
The Rangers had a team total of 170 on the night and are becoming closer and closer as a team every match. Their next match will be a tournament at Oak Hills on Monday, April 29 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
