Boys varsity golf places eleventh in NextTee Boys Golf Invite
The boys varsity golf team placed eleventh out of 15 teams in the NextTee Boys Golf Invite at Oakland Hills Country Club with a 340.
Despite the weather, the Rangers fought through and scored a mediocre 340 behind Clarkston, who finished with a 299. Leading FHC was junior captain Isaiah Huempfner, who finished with an 80. Behind him was freshman Joe Murdock and senior Justin Turner, who shot an 84 and 85, respectively. Holding the fourth spot was senior Braden Lubben, who finished with a 91. Although it was rainy and cold, the boys kept their spirits high while facing off against top-tier teams on this treacherous spring morning.
The boys are back in action on Wednesday, May 1 with a Jamboree at Greenville.
