FHC equestrian completes successful season with 7th place finish at States
More stories from Levi McKenzie
Over this last weekend, the FHC equestrian team went out to participate in the state finals. They ended in 7th place falling behind Vicksburg, Meridian, Holly, Alma, Grand Blanc, and Ludington. They fell short of Ludington by just 16 points and they were close behind Grand Blanc that beat Ludington by just 1 point.
The team had a very good performance finishing with 183 points. The top team (Vicksburg) had 241 points which is a very impressive score. The team was ready for this and even though they didn’t come out on top they had a very successful season, and are looking forward to next year to see if they can improve on what they accomplished this season.
As this season comes to a close, freshman Masyn Cole, freshman Abby Satterthwaite, sophomore Claire Richardson, and junior Alaina Briggs look to be even more prepared for next season and hopefully come home with a state title.
