Girls freshman volleyball sweeps Grand Rapids Christian in two sets
After a win against South Christian, the girls freshman volleyball team played the Eagles of Grand Rapids Christian. This was yet another big game, considering it was conference play once again.
The girls came out perfect, playing smart and making great plays all over the court. Freshman Bella Grounin stepped up and had a huge game for the Rangers, getting multiple kills and making some crucial plays for the team. The girls ended up winning, and were very confident going into the next game.
The second game was the same story as the first. The girls saw much of the same, as freshman Ashtyn Scarlato stepped up in a big way and stopped the opposing team in their tracks.
“Ashtyn had a great game, playing back row when we needed her to step in,” her teammate Kadence Roelfzema said.
The girls won the second game with ease and are now 5-0 on the season. They face off next on Thursday, October 1 against Byron Center.
