Girls freshman volleyball sweeps rival Forest Hills Northern in two sets

On Tuesday, the girls freshman volleyball team took on rival Forest Hills Northern. After their previous game  which was cancelled, the girls were more amped up for this game than normal especially with it being a rivalry game.

In the first set, the girls came out sluggish causing Northern to gain a huge lead early. The Huskies continued to play great and ended up gaining a huge 10 point lead. The girls ended up turning it around, however. Freshman Megan Hacked and Tz Cumbo both had great games which helped lead the girls to comeback. They ended up winning the first set by a close score of 25-21.

In the second set, the girls played much better. They all worked together and had great communication. They ended up taking the win by a solid score of 25-18.

“We played much better in the second game,” Freshman Kadence Roelfzema said.

The girls are now 9-2 on the season, and play their next game on Tuesday, October 2o in the OK White Conference Tournament.
