Attention Class of 2017: Important Items and Dates

Senior year is hectic with college applications, sporting events, and all the events planned to make the last year one to remember. While everything can get jumbled in the mess we call senior year, here are a few items and dates to keep in mind. 

 

Senior Dinner Dance

When: Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 6:30- 9:30

Where: Noto’s Restaurant- 6600 28th Street SE

RSVP: By October 25th, 2016

 

The Senior Dinner Dance is an opportunity for the senior class to celebrate their senior year with their classmates. The attire is dressy but not formal, so no jeans. There will be great music and a video of you and fellow seniors as your childhood selves. Baby/childhood photos are to be emailed to Avery Wedder at [email protected] to be included in the slide show. Email is the preferred method of getting these photos, but if that is unavailable please attach it with the check and send it to Denise Sebuck, 1797 Hillsboro Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 OR place in the box in the FHC front office.

 

Senior Picture/Quote for Yearbook

Picture fue by: October 24, 2016.

Quote due by: November 4, 2016

 

Please send your senior pictures to [email protected] by October 24th in order for them to be placed in the senior section of the yearbook. Instructions for the sizing and resolution of photos can be found on the yearbook website at is.gd/fhcyearbook. Please make sure they are school appropriate; if they’re not, they will not be placed in the yearbook. Senior quotes must be sent through the yearbook website, are are due Friday, November 4.

 

Cap and Gown Orders

 

There has not been a date set for these orders to be turned in. There will be an informational meeting sometime in November during the school day for the senior class to attend.

 

Senior All-night Party

When: Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Where: Secret until the students arrive

Time: 9:30 p.m.- 5:00 a.m.

Cost: $100 until December 15, 2016. After December 15, ticket prices will increase to $150.

The Senior All Night Party is the last chance for students to connect and have fun with their classmates in a safe way. This event is highly monitored and once the students arrive at the destination they are not allowed to leave. Seniors will depart by bus from Calvin College immediately following the graduation ceremony and will return to FHC the next morning. Student’s are not allowed to drive home the next morning, for safety reasons, they must be picked up at FHC. Forms are available in the office and asked to be returned to the office with the payment or mailed to Nicole Tilton.
