I'm exactly where I need to be in my life.

I’m right where I’d wished I’d be

Katty Anderson, Staff Writer May 20, 2025

Recently, there’s been this quiet, persistent feeling growing inside me, one that I didn’t fully recognize at first because it wasn’t dramatic or loud. It didn’t have fireworks or cause some sort...

Mac and cheese is an easy dish that anyone can make, no matter their cooking abilities.

How to easily make mac and cheese like a pro

Katty Anderson, Staff Writer March 28, 2025

Katty Anderson, Staff Writer January 30, 2025

As a kid, I liked myself. Surprising, right? The fact that a little kid may actually have confidence in themselves; maybe it’s being naive or the bliss of being oblivious to judgment. I went into elementary...

Colored leaves changing as they go through the seasons.

Echos of old conversations

Katty Anderson, Junior Writer December 4, 2024

There is a strange beauty to missing my old friends. It is not just the gap they leave but how their absence alters the path of my life, like how the seasons shift. Each in their own way a part of me,...

Every person in your life makes an impact and teaches you a lesson.

A wish for what’s missing

Katty Anderson, Junior Writer November 19, 2024

This feeling of wanting and yet not wanting it at all is odd. I have always imagined what it would be like to have siblings. To have someone to argue with, someone to share the blame with when things go...

My dad and I in Kualoa Ranch, Hawaii during an ATV tour.

Dad, you’re my hero

Katty Anderson, Junior Writer November 15, 2024

Padre, Táto, and Pére. All these words mean the same thing: Dad.  You are my favorite person in the entire universe. I’m sorry I haven’t written you this letter sooner, but there is no better time...
