When you realize that the rain is something to dance in, not something to hide from.

Dear reader,

One day, you’ll be short of words. One day, you won’t know what to do. One day, you’ll wish you’d taken the road more traveled, not the road less. You’ll wish that you could go back and do it all again, and you’ll wish that you made a different choice.

At least, I did.

You might look back at all those moments with a fond smile and a full heart. Or, you might look back and grimace, wishing the times would change, and the past wasn’t haunting you anymore. You might just brush it all off and decide that it was no big deal. Whatever you decide, I hope it sits well with you, and I hope it’s not one more thing you regret.

Dear reader,

One day, the sun will shine, and you’ll think the world is mocking you. You’ll feel betrayed by its beauty and frown at its smile. You won’t want to look at it. You’ll want to hide and wait for it to vanish.

One day, the sky will open up, and you’ll flinch away at the rain. But as it pours, you’ll realize that you love it. You’ll realize that you don’t need to hide anymore. You’ll realize that the rain is made for dancing, and you don’t need to be afraid of it.

Dear reader,

Don’t forget who you are. Don’t forget that, no matter how hard they try, no one can take away what makes you, you. Don’t forget that you’re perfect the way you are, and don’t forget that should never let anyone dull your sparkle.

You’ll realize that the rain is made for dancing and that you don’t need to be afraid of it.

The most important thing to you needs to be you. You need to put yourself first, especially if no one else is willing to. You need to take care of yourself, watch out for yourself, and love yourself. You are your own biggest enemy and your own best friend.

Don’t forget that, even if everyone else loves you, it won’t be enough until you love you.

Dear reader,

Don’t wait for the right moment. It may never come. Don’t wait for a sign. Don’t wait for someone to say go. Just go. You don’t need anyone’s permission, and you don’t need the perfect moment. Go live your life, go be you, go do what you want to do. You’re ready. You’ve been waiting. Don’t wait anymore.

Sometimes the perfect time never comes. Sometimes it always seems like the wrong time. But, you can’t let those excuses stop you. It is time to do what you need to do. It is time to do what you want to do. It is time for you. It is now time for you to be the priority.

Dear reader,

You are loved, you are incredible, and you can do it.
