FHC wrestling places second at Marshall Duals

Saturday morning the Ranger wrestling team was at Marshall high school, where they placed second out of five teams. It was an exciting day for senior Keegan Moore as he earned his 100th win. Keegan was aware of which match he had to win in order to get his 100th win.

“Going into the match I realized I was a lot better than the kid, so I made it my goal just to have fun,” Moore said.

Keegan only wrestled three times due to having two voids. He pinned two of his opponents and “teched” the other with a score of 17-2.

Senior Trace Schirmers wrestled against all five teams. He won four out of the five of his matches.

Senior Ian Abel was down by three points with less than 15 seconds left in his match. Ian got a two-point reversal, but let his opponent go, giving his opponent one point. Ian then got him into a headlock to win the match. The senior ended up going on to win all five of his matches without any voids for the day.

Senior Adam Heneveld also continued his success this weekend and went 4-1 with two voids. In the matches that Adam did wrestle, he pinned both of his opponents.

Ranger wrestling has its next match Friday at home.
