Girls varsity water polo secures 5-4 win over EGR
Last night, Forest Hills water polo took on rival East Grand Rapids. It was senior night for FH and they took away the win with a final score of 5-4. The student section was loaded with support for the team and the outgoing seniors.
The combined stellar offense and defense are what put Forest Hills ahead in the end. The game went into overtime where the battle for the last point took place. Goalie Ella Streng had some key plays to prevent the Pioneers from finding the back of the net. The seniors took charge of the night and dominated on all aspects of the game.
This win was key for FH because it will give them the momentum they need to take on districts. Districts kickoff on May 11 where FH looks to take the win and head to Regionals.
