Freshman volleyball slams Northview for a 2-0
The freshman Ranger volleyball team earned its second win in a row last night against Northview. In the first set, it was clear that FHC would claim victory as they were ahead by 12 and held that position for the remainder of the set, ending the first with a score of 25-13. Moving on into the second set, Northview started off in front, but FHC came up behind and tied it up, then ultimately won the second set along with the whole game, with a score of 25-21.
Freshman Kylee Murawski picked up the first 12 points for FHC with her serves. Kylee’s serves weren’t the only ones earning them big-time points on the board, as freshman Sophia Galan had a respectable run as well. The offense was prime last night, but the defense was attentive and sharp as they made imperative recoveries when they needed to hold the Wildcats’ offense.
Due to this win, the Rangers now have a conference record of 2-0. The long list of upcoming conference games continues, and if FHC can pull wins out in most of them, they’re looking stellar for the OK White Conference title. The next game is on September 18 at the Rangers’ home court against Cedar Springs.
