Boys varsity soccer falls to Lowell in regular season finale 2-1
The boys varsity soccer team headed to Lowell Thursday night hoping to capture a win against a great Red Arrow team. The Rangers, unfortunately, could not come out on top, as they were defeated in the hands of Lowell 2-1. Senior Kai Hagadorn was yet again a threat offensively. Junior JT Guntern also showed up, playing a very aggressive game for the Rangers to set the tone for the game.
On the defensive side of the ball, junior goalie Kyler Williams had a great game with some huge saves despite the loss. Kyler’s saves led to some confidence on the offensive end. The Rangers did a good job of hanging with the Red Arrows in a game between two evenly-matched teams, but Lowell just pulled away at the end of the game and eventually defeated the Rangers by only 1 goal.
The Rangers finish off the regular season off at 10-7-1 and start off the postseason against the Rockford Rams. The Rangers were defeated by Rockford earlier in the season, but this is an FHC team that has improved a lot over the course of the season. If FHC can play some of their best soccer of the season in this game, look for a statement win from the Rangers.
