How long have you been diving?

“This is my first year of diving, so I’ve been doing it for about three months.”

Who has been the biggest inspiration in your swimming career?

“The other girls that joined the dive team with me that also have no experience in diving.”

What is your personal goal for this season? 

“I would like to become an average diver which seems like a bad goal, but considering that I just started diving, it is a goal that I would like to meet. The key to meet the goal is practicing a lot and improving very quickly.”

What are some team goals for this season?

“The dive team that is composed of all new divers has a goal of having a good time and doing a new sport that is unfamiliar to us.”

Talk a little about your time being a part of FHC dive team, this year and previous years.

“This is my first year and I really enjoy the team culture that the swim team has developed. Going into the tight-knit team my senior year was really nerve-wracking, but I am glad that all the new team members and freshmen were welcomed with such open arms and that the swimmers really embraced the new divers.”

What is the best part of diving?

“The best part of diving is getting a new dive and being able to compete with it. When I get a new dive, I feel so accomplished even if it is bad.”
