Girls JV lacrosse defeats Carmel 9-3, improves to 6-0 on the season
The Forest Hills United JV lacrosse team took home a huge win on Saturday against the mighty Carmel Greyhounds. The final score was an impressive 9-3, and FH was able to extend its undefeated record to 6-0.
There were several key performances from the freshman duo of Kali Coppess and Sofia Debano this weekend that helped the team greatly in its win. Kali’s stellar defensive performance was one of her best so far this season, as she went on to cause 7 turnovers for the Greyhound attackers. Kali also helped the cause by making 2 vital saves and recording several assists as well.
The other half of the duo, Sofia, also had an impressive performance. Her agility and quickness impacted the game significantly, and she always provided an outlet for her team to attack. Even though Sofia didn’t have any goals, she had 2 assists to conclude the game.
The Forest Hills United JV girls lacrosse team will take on the East Grand Rapids Pioneers in its next game this Wednesday, April 17. FH will be taking on this powerhouse of a team with the intention of extending its record to a successful 7-0.
