JV girls lacrosse loses to EGR 9-3
The Forest Hills United girls junior varsity lacrosse team suffered a tough loss this week to the powerhouse East Grand Rapids Pioneers, losing 9-3. Last time Forest Hills played the Pioneers they lost 3-1, and these two losses are the teams only for the season.
Freshman Sofia Debano was one of the only girls capable of placing the ball in the back of the net throughout the game. Despite the team’s numerous opportunities, they just couldn’t manage to pull out a win. Once again, Sofia’s amazing ability to get open for her teammates was very useful throughout the game.
Another key player for Forest Hills was freshman Kali Coppess. Kali was helpful on the defensive side of the game and forced several turnovers. She was a huge factor in the final score, as it would have been run-up a lot more without her dominating defensive show.
The Forest Hills United girls junior varsity lacrosse team will play again Friday, May 10, at home as they take on Brighton High School.
