Varsity softball has successful night on Senior Night in doubleheader against FHE
On Saturday, the Lady Rangers faced off against Forest Hills Eastern on Senior Night. FHC came out with a little bit of extra energy because it was senior night. The Rangers won the first game 15-1 and the second game 20-1.
In the first game, FHC racked up multiple hits; they had a total of 11 hits. Senior Lauren Mittelstadt led the team in hits. She went 3 for 4. She had three singles. Senior Tori Macleod had 2 doubles and 3 RBI’s. Senior Molly Donovan went 2 for 3 with 1 walk. She also had 3 RBI’s. Seniors Emma Davis and Carmen Marshall each had 3 RBIs as well. Senior Zoey Guikema had 2.
In the second game, the Rangers mercied FHE in two innings. FHC was able to rack up 16 runs in the first inning. Emma led the team in batting for this game. She had 1 home run and a double. She also had 3 RBI’s. Senior Val Nuffer had 2 singles and 1 double. Molly had 3 RBI and went 2 for 4. Sophomore Kylie Halverson had 2 singles and 2 RBI.
Tori was behind the mound in the first game. She allowed 4 hits and 1 run. She struck out five players and walked 0. Sophomore Faith Addington pitched in the second game. She allowed 1 run and 1 hit. She also walked 1 and struck out 3.
These wins only go towards their overall record which is 10-8. There OK White Conference record remains 9-3. The Lady Rangers face off against South Christian tonight at South Christian high school.
