JV boys soccer takes home first win of the season against Greenville Yellow Jackets
The boys JV soccer team took home its first win of the season last night as they took on the Greenville Yellow Jackets in this OK White Conference matchup. The Rangers were able to walk away with a victory of 3-1 and officially make this their first victory of the season.
For the Rangers freshman, Collin Oderink started off the game strong by securing the Rangers their first goal for the night. Following Collin soon behind was freshman Henry Kostebade, who scored a great goal of his own. Henry assisted in the scoring of the teams third and final goal as well, by setting up freshman Noah Burr on a beautiful ball.
The team’s midfield excelled last night and went on to dominate the majority of the game. Led by Noah, freshman Tyler Poth, and freshman Nick Grooters, they were able to set up many opportunities for the Rangers. Not to mention that the midfield was able to win nearly all of the fifty-fifty balls that were played to them throughout the game.
The boys JV soccer team will take on the Cedar Springs Red Hawks today in yet another OK White Conference matchup after this win, looking to continue the momentum.
