More stories from Ally Francisco
Yesterday afternoon, the girls JV golf team continued its first-place finish streak. The Rangers competed at Arrowhead, Lowell’s home course. As a team, the ladies shot 196 winning by only two points over the Red Arrows. Mona Shores placed second with 198 and in third, Forest Hills Northern shot 201.
The Rangers were well represented with low scores from several golfers to combine for the team victory. Four individuals led FHC to its win. Freshmen Serena Thiede, freshman Ashley Yarnell, sophomore Alyssa Cheslek and sophomore Bella Wisely all shot a 49. Not far behind was sophomore Lexi Schnelker with a 50. Followed by Junior Bela Gonzalez shooting a 54.
The Lady Rangers play next on Wednesday, September 18th at Boulder Creek, where they will see some familiar conference competition such as the hosting Northview Wildcats.
