More stories from Ally Francisco
Yesterday afternoon at the Mona Shores Jamboree, the lady Ranger JV golf team fell just one stroke short of first place. This marks the second consecutive second place finish for the squad. As a team, FHC shot a 198. The girls were barely beat out by Lowell, who shot 197. Rounding out the third spot, Mona Shores finished in last with a 205.
Individually, the Rangers shot very competitively. Freshman Serena Thiede and sophomore Lexi Schnelker led FHC, shooting a 49 each. Following closely behind, sophomore Bella Beckering shot a 50, followed by junior Bela Gonzalez with a 51. Freshman Ashley Yarnell finished fifth for the Rangers with 56.
There is no rest for the Rangers as they head back to the greens for more competition on Wednesday, September 25th at the Belding Jamboree.
