Freshman girls basketball picks up fourth consecutive conference win against the Ottawa Hills Bengals
This past Tuesday, the freshman girls basketball team headed over to Ottawa Hills High School to take on the Bengals in yet another OK White Conference game. The Rangers displayed a dominant performance against the Bengals and picked up a win 64-26. This was their fourth consecutive conference win, and it keeps them undefeated in conference play.
Once again, freshman Maya Holser led the Rangers in points, scoring 22 of the team’s points. She was accompanied by fellow freshman Frankie Sutton, who had 18 points of her own. These two were an unstoppable duo all night with Maya playing in the post and Frankie as the point-guard; all Frankie had to do was find Maya in the post for an easy bucket.
Along with Maya and Frankie was sophomore Madison Wilkins, who scored ten points throughout the night. Frankie and Madison were also a big help on the defensive side of the floor as well, keeping the pressure intense which led to a lot of turnovers from the Bengals.
The Rangers will tip off against the Forest Hills Northern Huskies this Thursday, January 23. The game will be played at FHN and will begin at 4:00 pm.
