  • She loves to spend her time doing gymnastics
  • She loves skiing out west in the mountains

When did you start to ski?

“I started skiing in the second grade.”

What is your favorite part about the sport?

“My favorite part about the sport is that although it may seem like you’re racing against other people, really the only person you’re racing is yourself. Every race, every run,  and even in training you’re goal is to get better and to become more confident in your skiing, and I think that’s really special and makes it more enjoyable.”

Who is your biggest inspiration?

“My biggest inspiration is my sister, Courtney McAlindon. She was one of the best skiers at this school, and she was a great leader for the girls team. She helped to lead them to a Team State Title in 2017 and then in 2018, she won the giant slalom at the State meet individually. She was my best friend on the team and was always encouraging no matter the result. She truly exemplified what a leader should be like.”

What is your favorite part about the team this year and why?

“The team this year is like none before it. Everyone is just trying to improve with each race, and it is so much fun with a different outlook, especially for the girls. I think it was refreshing for us and the girls are all so nice. I’m excited to see what is to come. I also love that the boys and girls teams are collaborating more than the years before. It makes everything way more fun and interactive.”
