The Forest Hills Varsity Gymnastics team achieve their season record score of 142.075

It was senior night on Wednesday for the Forest Hills Varsity Gymnastics team, in which they competed against Rockford. In this meet the girls achieved their season record score of 142.075, finishing only two points behind Rockford. In this meet, most of the girls had some of the best performances they have done all season and worked hard to beat their record.

FHN’s junior Kylie McGinnis had another great meet, scoring first on her team in three out of four events. On the vault, she scored a 9.375, on the bars she scored a 9.00, and on the floor she scored a 9.35. FHN’s junior Hannah Chadwick and FHC’s senior Olivia Jeong also competed well in this meet. Hannah took second for her team on the beam with a score of 8.825 and Olivia also took second for the team on the floor exercise with a score of 9.125.

Since this meet was for the girls’ senior night it gave it an extra special feel. All of them were pumped up from the ceremony and having fun with one another throughout the meet. This lighthearted atmosphere alleviated stress and allowed the girls to achieve their highest score of the season.

The next meet is on Monday, February 10th at 6:30 PM at Rockford High School.
