How long have you been competing for?

“I’ve been doing high school gymnastics for 4 years but I’ve competed in gymnastics for as long as I can remember, since I was like 4 or 5.”

What is your favorite part of the sport? 

“My favorite thing about gymnastics is when all your hard work pays off. You practice so much and when you finally stick a beam routine and get the score you’ve been working so hard for it’s super rewarding and I love that part about it.”

What/who was your inspiration for the sport? 

“I always grew up watching Olympic gymnastics on TV, Shawn Johnson and Aly Raisman have always been the gymnasts I’ve looked up to and tried to be like when I was younger, and I still am inspired by them and what they’ve done with their gymnastics careers.”

What is your pre-meet ritual? 

“Before a meet I usually listen to music on the way there and visualize my routines in my head and me doing them perfectly before I compete.”

What are your goals to improve as a gymnast?

“Since I only have about a month left of doing gymnastics ever, I just want to work as hard as I can to make it to states and finish with a high.”
