The Central Trend

Hazel Bentley

Hazel Bentley, Junior Writer

Hazel is a freshman that has decided to embark on the journey that is The Central Trend. She often finds herself with her best friends laughing to the point of crying and listening to music. When she is not with her friends she will often find herself enfolded in the pages of a romance book. Her love for reading and Gilmore Girls has brought her to room 139 where she spends her sixth hour writing about whatever is most important to her. She is panicky to take part in The Central Trend, but also very intrigued to start a new path in her life.

Could read over and over: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Music that makes her feel something no one else can: “Dead Man Walking” by Brent Faiyaz – a song that deserves all the hype.

Her favorite Pinterest board: ‘Rando’ A very much satire board shared with Marley – one of her best friends.

My way out of the dark hole

Hazel Bentley, Junior Writer November 18, 2022

My building blocks to my life have fallen, and I’m trying to pick them up and put them back together.  I've been feeling like I'm on the edge of a cliff about to fall, holding onto the few thin strands...

Taking away devices can negatively affect a relationship between a parent and child

Hazel Bentley, Junior Writer November 11, 2022

On Nov. 4, I got my phone taken away from me for one night, and for the whole night, I thought ‘this is the most stupid punishment ever.’ At 5 p.m., my dad was going to arrive at my mom’s house...

"The Watcher" in front of 657 Boulevard

The Watcher displayed a thick plot that made me pay attention to every little detail

Hazel Bentley, Junior writer November 4, 2022

Netflix is truly popping off right now, and The Watcher is part of that. From the amazing acting to the twists and turns of this show, I truly believe that this is the best Netflix has done in a while.  And...
