2017 Student Council Q&A – Maddy Williams

1.) Why did you decide to run for Secretary?

“I decided to run for secretary because I have always had an interest in student council. Before this year I never had time to run. But now that I can, I thought secretary would be a good place for me to start and a position I would be good at.”

2.) What do you hope to accomplish if elected?

“I hope that all of our events and gatherings as a class will be organized and planned out so that once everyone is together, we can get things done efficiently.”

3.) If you could push for one change at FHC, what would it be?

“If I could change one thing about FHC, I would like to see more participation and involvement of students in activities like lip sync, spirit days and floats. They are all fun things, but they are even better when more people are involved.”

4.)What extra-curricular activities are you involved in?

“I play tennis, horseback ride, volunteer at Family Friends Vet, DECA, and Lifeline.”

5.) What traits do you think successful leaders possess?

“A good leader should be accountable, open-minded, patient, and organized. It is also important that they can effectively communicate and work with a lot of people at once.”

6.) Anything else you would like to say to potential voters?

“Vote Maddy Williams for Secretary class of 2019.”
