New ice cream shop, Frosty Boy, lives up to high expectations
First it was Sundaes at the Cottage, then it became Sundaes at Cascade Point. Now, they’ve taken on a whole new name: Frosty Boy of Cascade. Located on the edge of Cascade Road, Frosty Boy has yet to disappoint, and its yummy ice cream and diverse menu has filled the shoes of many traditional and popular ice cream shops that have come before it.
If you know me, you know that I love ice cream. I love plain chocolate ice cream, Mint Chocolate Chip, Hot Fudge Brownie, and almost any ice cream flavor. Any flavor you can name, and I guarantee that I like it. So when the new shop, Frosty Boy, opened a few miles away from my house, I knew that I had to give it a try.
When I first walked up, the building itself was immediately eye-catching. The building was painted a bright and cheery yellow, attracting many people from the street and nearby shops. It had a large sign with radiant colors of blue and red.
The diverse menu offered a variety of foods, ranging from steaming hot pretzels to sweet ice cream. The ice cream menu itself also had many different options, such as, flurries, hard serve, soft serve, shakes, and sundaes. After gazing at the lengthy list of options, I settled on a simple chocolate shake. Once receiving the shake, I can wholeheartedly say that it was one of the best shakes that I have ever tasted. After only one sip, I knew I had made the right decision. It was thick and creamy and definitely filling.
Not only were the shakes very tasty, but the sounds of satisfied groans from other customers told me that the rest of the menu was also good. The soft serve seemed to be smooth and fresh, while the flurries were layered with an assortment of candies and flavored ice cream.
Although I thoroughly enjoyed the Frosty Boy treat, there are many other popular ice cream shops that are just as good. So I asked myself the question, what makes Frosty Boy so much better? After putting in some thought I came up with multiple reasons.
For one thing, the service at Frosty Boy was incredible. Each time I visited, I was greeted with a friendly hello, and was addressed very mannerly and politely. Another differentiating detail was the outdoor seating arrangement. There were many picnic tables scattered across the lawn and each was decorated with an umbrella. And in addition to that, the ice cream was, of course, extremely satisfying. To answer my own question, the reason that separates Frosty Boy from other places is its exceptional service, welcoming atmosphere, and many tasty treats.
Just because summer has ended, and the weather is getting more crisp, doesn’t mean that we should forget Frosty Boy. Keep it in the back of your mind, because when summer comes again in a few months, Frosty Boy will be open and ready for new and upcoming business.
