Humans of FHC: Zachery Jaeger

“I lived in Arizona for twelve years, and I just moved here four years ago. The last week in Arizona, we were packing up and everything. I hadn’t gotten stung by a scorpion the whole time I’d lived there. So I go to bed, and there’s a scorpion in my bed. It stings me. It was the scariest thing ever. At first, I thought it was a charley horse or some other muscle problem. But I went to the emergency room, and turns out I got stung by a scorpion. It hurt so bad. It was a neurotoxin, so whenever your heart beats, a surge of pain goes through you. I had to stay up all night and drink lots of caffeine or I would have gone into a coma or something.”
