JV soccer battles to a 2-2 tie against Ottawa Hills

The Rangers had a rematch lined up against the Ottawa Hills Bengals Tuesday night. The previous battle resulted in a 4-2 Ranger win, but the Bengals were back and ready for action. Ottawa was very aggressive to start the game, scoring early to go up 1-0. They were simply manhandling the Rangers early on, until magic man Micah the Magician had a brilliant goal to give FHC momentum. His magic show was not over, Gschwind would have another at the end of the half putting the Rangers up 2-1.

Coming into the second half with the Rangers up 2-1, they knew they were in for a game. The Bengals were not going down without a fight as they would have many quality chances to even the score. The Ranger defense, however, was too much. A costly penalty by the Rangers with five minutes remaining sent Ottawa to the stripe to attempt a penalty kick. It just barely made it past the Ranger goal tender tying the game up at two a piece.

There was simply not enough time for the Rangers to get any quality shots as they tie the Ottawa Hills Bengals. FHC ended their two game win streak, but did not fall to the losing column. With four games left in their season the Rangers look to have a share at the OK white title.
