Brick and Porter restaurant creates yummy and appetizing meals
It was a hot Saturday evening and after walking around Art Prize for a few hours, I was starved. I was starved to the point where my stomach was making noises that sounded like a grumbling bear. After wandering around aimlessly, our eyes finally fell upon a quaint restaurant on Monroe Center called Brick and Porter.
My initial thoughts of Brick and Porter were ravenous and rambunctious. I was at a point of hunger where I did not care what was served, so long as that something could calm my growling stomach. Luckily for me, Brick and Porter is notorious for its burgers, which happens to be one of my favorite foods.
The restaurant had a variety of different meal options. From double-stacked burgers to flavorsome paninis, it has it all. Once I searched the menu, I decided upon the chicken pesto panini with french fries and a Diet Coke.
Because we were seated outside, the scenery was charming and lively. The seating area was surrounded by a black fence, and there were trees that lined the side of the road. As we waited for our food to arrive, many people hustled across the sidewalk, looking flustered or stressed. In addition to that, there were also a small number of people who came up to the side of the restaurant asking for spare change and money.
Shortly after placing our order, the food arrived at the table. It was steaming hot and smelled of crispy chicken and seasoned fries. I dug in.
The sandwich was toasted to perfection. The chicken and pesto morphed together perfectly, while the cheese was melting off the bread. The whole meal was amazing, but I would have to say, the best part of my meal was the fries. The fries were interesting, to say the least. They had some sort of special seasoning sprinkled on, and they were crunchy enough but not burnt. If I had to recommend this place to someone, I would always remember to tell them to taste the fries.
Not only was my meal good, but the person I went with said that his meal was also delicious. His burger was covered in an assortment of toppings, and he said that it was one of the best burgers he has had.
Alongside the tasty food, the service at the restaurant was impeccable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by many smiling faces. The waitress was very polite, making the meal more enjoyable.
All and all, I would have to say this restaurant was a success. From the yummy and delicious food and polite staff, I would give it a 10/10. Although the setting and people on the side were not the best, I felt like the positives of the restaurant outweighed the negatives. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and, of course, the fries.
