JV boys basketball loses to Godwin Heights in Cornerstone Tournament 56-47
The Rangers of FHC took on Godwin Heights on Friday hoping to pull out a win, but sadly they ended up falling to Godwin with a final score of 56-47. This game was more intense than their last one, as the bleachers were full and there was a lot of energy. Sophomores Tommy Spaletto and Jay Wiener were high scorers for FHC, as well as sophomore Andrew Preston aggressively going after the ball on the ground.
Tommy was the top scorer of the game with 21 points total, with Jay close behind. Andrew played scrappily and got on the ground to get the ball many times, which helped his team to get more possessions and put some points on the board for the Rangers. FHC stuck with the fast-paced tempo of their opponents and did what they could to reduce the score gap.
This was one of the faster teams that FHC has faced and the teams will just keep getting faster. As the Rangers move into conference play in their next game against Northview, they look to increase their level of gameplay and intensity immensely.
