Varsity B wrestling takes both a win and a loss over the weekend
Once again the FHC wrestling varsity B team had a big weekend filled with hard work and individual victories. Overall as a team, the Rangers lost to Lowell, but there were some good individual matchups.
Senior Reece Davis won his match wrestling at 160 lbs, and freshman Kaden Jacobs also won wrestling at 103 lbs. Despite these individual wins, the team did not accumulate enough points to beat Lowell’s powerful team.
Wrestling against Northview was a different story. The wrestlers had a great meet with many individual victories that led them to victory against the Wildcats. Northview’s team had a lot of forfeits, which helped increase the Rangers’ success.
Junior Shaun Brown was one of many who wrestled really well and helped boost the team’s point total in order for them to beat Northview 70-6. The varsity B team will wrestle again next Saturday the 27th at Rockford high School at 9 a.m.
