Rugby has a devastating loss against West Catholic 35-0

Rugby had a tough loss againt West Catholic last night, with a final score of 35-0. Despite their best efforts, the Rangers were not able to stop the Falcons’ offense. However, sophomore Brandon Weiskopf was able to have some key hits that helped to stop some of the Falcons’ plays.

Brandon had 6 carries that all consisted of 10-15 yards. He had some major tackles that caused an error in West Catholics offense as well. Senior Seth Udell was also a huge contributor to the team. He had some big hits that helped keep the score low. Seth showed tremendous senior leadership that helped to boost the Rangers’ morale in their battle against West Catholic. Even though they lost, the Rangers were able have a high level of commitment and confidence that will hopefully lead them to redeeming their playoff spot.

This loss puts the Rangers 0-1 in conference play. The rugby team faces off with the Grand Haven Buccaneers next Wednesday at home. FHC has high hopes of coming back strong and winning their first game of the season.
