Girls Varsity Lacrosse picks up a win against Catholic Central 18-6
FH girls Lacrosse brought home another victory against the Cougars of Catholic Central. The girls won by a score of 18-6 and added another very strong game to the books. FHC senior Kelli Bailey played very solid offense in this game as she has done all season. Along with Kelli, FHE junior Erin Kloostra and FHN junior Molly Mullet also had very strong games and helped lead the team to this victory.
For FH, control of the score played a huge role in the game. The girls stayed on top for a large majority of the game and remaining strong led them to the win. On the offensive side, FH had a very solid showing scoring 18 goals overall. On defense, the girls only gave up 6 goals. With a solid combination of the defense and offense, the girls came out with the win and a huge confidence booster heading into the middle of the season.
This is a very big win for Forest Hills, especially against a great team like Catholic Central and winning by a large margin. FH now shifts their attention to a rematch with the EGR Pioneers next Monday at Pioneer stadium. EGR defeated Forest Hills on their home turf only a couple weeks ago, so the girls look to keep this confidence rolling into one of the biggest games this season.
