JV girls lacrosse mid-season recap
The 2018 Forest Hills JV girls lacrosse season, coached by Caitlin Conway, has been a successful season so far. This year’s team, which consists of nine sophomores and eleven freshmen, has a 5-1-1 record. They have wins over DeWitt, Caledonia, Grand Haven, Catholic Central, and Flint Power, their only loss being to East Grand Rapids, their only draw with Mattawan.
Two sophomores, both from FHC, have had outstanding performances throughout the first half of the season. Rachel Nicholson leads the team on offense with 24 goals and 12 assists, she also has 4 draw controls. Bella Piccione has 14 goals and 9 assists under her belt as well as 12 draw controls and 6 caused turnovers.
The team has nine games left in the season, one being tonight against EGR and another Wednesday night at Caledonia.
