The varsity boys lacrosse team took a trip out to Hudsonville on Tuesday and defeated the Eagles 18-3. Leading the team in goals was senior captain Bryce Clay with 5. More high scorers were senior Tobey Hendricks with 3 goals and junior Luke Majick, senior Patrick English, and junior Evan Metaj all with 2 goals. Both sophomore Jackson Clay and junior Danny Schurman scored 1 goal as well.
Defensively, the key players were junior Cam Deines and seniors Andy Trapp and Caleb Foster. These three kept Hudsonville off the Rangers’ side of the field for a better part of the whole game. Junior Jack Nolan played in goal for the first half, having 3 big saves and only letting in 1 goal. In the second half senior Jacob Demeter played in goal and while he let in 2 goals, he also had 3 key saves.
The Rangers look ahead to Cranbrook on Friday at home and plan to defend their outstanding 9-0 record.
