Boys varsity lacrosse continues success with 23-5 win over West Ottawa
Tuesday night the Ranger varsity lacrosse team exerted total dominance over West Ottawa High School, beating them 23-5. Both junior Jack Nolan and senior Jacob Demeter played exceptionally in goal and only let in a total of 5 goals from the Panthers. Junior Brett Koczenasz earned his first hat trick with a 3 goal outing and junior Danny Schuurman had 2 goals. Freshman Luke Metallic scored his first goal of the season in this blowout win as well.
Overall FHC was the more strategic and experienced team both offensively and defensively and they moved the ball seamlessly around West Ottawa’s players. The Rangers’ intense speed and focused mental attitude allowed them to blow past the Panthers’ defensive efforts early on in the first half cruise to an easy win. The Rangers’ next game is tonight at home against Detroit Catholic Central, as the two top teams in the state face off.
