Boys varsity lacrosse beats Battle Creek Pennfield 21-2
Over the weekend the boys varsity lacrosse team took on a new opponent, Battle Creek Pennfield, where the Rangers dominated the game to win 21-2. Some key players and scorers for the offense were sophomore Jackson Clay, senior Kade Shomin, and junior Kyle Collar. These three, along with the rest of the offense, were able to keep the play mainly on Battle Creek’s end of the field. Jackson and sophomore Hayden Sarjeant both had hat tricks, along with some more goals from junior Danny Schuurman.
Key players on the defensive side were juniors Carson Collins, Josh Bonnett, and Will Cammell. The entire Ranger defense was able to shut down any attempts Battle Creek took on the Ranger goal, defended by senior Jacob Demeter. The Rangers showed their alpha attitude on the field, keeping up the high-intensity play against a weaker opponent. The team heads deeper into the season with a winning record and a lot of momentum. FHC’s next game is this Thursday, May 24 at 5:30pm at Harper Creek High School.
