Varsity volleyball goes 1-3 at the East Kentwood Invite
FHC varsity volleyball faced off against several opponents this Saturday in the East Kentwood Invite. At the end of the day, the Rangers went home 1-3. The team suffered a loss to Rockford but picked up a 2-0 win against Catholic Central in pool play. After these two games, the Rangers were put into the silver bracket where they lost to East Kentwood and Lakewood.
On the offensive end the Rangers were led by the following hitters: senior Caileigh Treash, junior Lauren Schofield, sophomore Tatum Otolski, and freshmen Sophia Shields and Brooklyn Conner, who were all set up by sophomore setter Hannah Bergman. Senior Kate Ryan and sophomores Morghan Tilton and Julia Bouma led the Rangers on defense.
The Rangers’ first conference match is this Tuesday against rival Forest Hills Northern on the road.
