FH varsity field hockey ties 1-1 with Detroit Country Day
Yesterday, the Forest Hills varsity field hockey team took on Detroit Country Day and came out with a tie. The end result was a low-scoring game of 1-1. The team had an equally good balance of offense and defense in this game, compared to others. The offense was able to pick out the holes in Detroit’s defense and used them to their advantage to earn the goal. The defense performed exceptionally well too, allowing only 1 goal compared to past games where they have let more through.
There wasn’t just one stand out player in this game, as it took the entire team in order to pull off the tie. Although, a notable player was senior Madison Bruno who did a great job moving the ball around and securing the only goal for FH.
FH field hockey has a strong standing record at 6-4-2. The team is still looking good to take it far in the upcoming State Tournament to make it back to the championship at the end of this season.
