Varsity field hockey falls to Saline in State Quarter-Finals 4-0

The varsity field hockey team took on the number-one team in Division 1: Saline. FH fell by a final score of 4-0. Despite the loss, Forest Hills battled hard and put everything they had into the game.

The Forest Hills offense and defense struggled in the first half of the game, which allowed Saline to score on them a couple of times. The Saline offense scored most of the goals off of penalty corners. FH defense struggled against the offense and wasn’t able to stop the corner shots. In the second half, FH picked it up and out-played Saline. The girls put some quality shots on goal, but the Saline defense stopped them all. Notable players of the game were seniors Madisyn Bunke and Madison Bruno. They moved the ball really well and had some great shots on goal.

The varsity field hockey team ends the season with a record of 8-7-2. This was the first time that the varsity field hockey team was in Division 1 and they did exceptionally well.
