Girls varsity lacrosse earns its first win of the season 17-5
Yesterday, the Forest Hills girls varsity Lacrosse team opened its season with a home game at FHC against Mattawan. The girls of Forest Hills came out on top and secured the win with a final score of 17-5. With a combination of both a strong defense and an aggressive offense, the girls kicked off their season on a high note.
Many girls on the team scored, but a lot of the juniors stood out. One of the main players of the night was Forest Hills Northern junior Sally Rielly. Sally took advantage of the slow Mattawan defense, and she pulled off a hat-trick to contribute to the final score.
The next game will take place against Grand Haven with another home game at FHC on March 26. However, the girls will be playing in a scrimmage against East Grand Rapids to prepare for future games before the matchup with the Buccaneers.
