What is the biggest difference in your role from last year to this year?
“I would definitely say taking on a leadership role on the team, whether it’s at practice or at games.”
In your eyes, how has the team looked so far?
“We’re finding ways to finish which is great. So far, we have started the season off 3-0, but we just need to find a way to play a little bit quicker and connect with each other better. We have lots of potential with all of our talent on the team, which makes me excited for the rest of the season.”
What was the toughest part about coming back from your ACL injury your freshman year?
“I would say the hardest part was trying not to get down on myself when I was just getting back and [keep building] self-confidence. There came times when I was frustrated because things don’t come right away, they come with time. I just feel that was a good, but hard, life lesson to learn.”
What has been the biggest improvement you’ve seen from last year as a sophomore to this year?
“I have more of a leadership role compared to last year. I would also say trying to score more as well as creating more goal scoring opportunities for my teammates [has improved]. So far, I’ve been successful with having one goal and two assists in our first 3 games.”
