Girls varsity lacrosse goes 4-4 in past few games
On Saturday, Forest Hills traveled to East Grand Rapids to play against Birmingham, Brighton, and EGR. In the first game, FH played against Birmingham and took the victory easily with a 16-2 score. In the second game, FH played against Brighton and won again, this time by 10-6. Some of the main standout players from the first two games were Forest Hills Northern senior Molly Mullet and Forest Hills Eastern junior Cierra Davis. Unfortunately for Cierra, later in the day, she injured her knee, which prevented her from playing.
In the last game, Forest Hills won over the Pioneers of East Grand Rapids, with a final score of 16-6. Forest Hills had a great day for defense and offense, scoring a combined total of 42 goals on the day and only giving up 14.
Yesterday, Forest Hills took on Grand Rapids Christian and beat them by 20 goals, winning 22-2. The offense worked around the field, and the defense performed great as well. Forest Hills Central junior Rachel Nicholson had a goal on the night and so did Forest Hills Northern sophomore Annie Knee. Forest Hills Northern senior Molly Mullet had the highest amount of goals scored in the game with an impressive 9 goals.
The defensive side of the game went very well for FH, as shown by the scoreline. Not only did the defense play well, but Forest Hills Northern junior Lauren TerMaat saved 2 shots out of the 4 shots that Grand Rapids Christian had on goal.
Forest Hills continues to dominate and secure wins in almost every game that is played. FH will take on state-powerhouse Rockford tomorrow at Forest Hills Central in a highly-anticipated game.
