Girls varsity lacrosse ends in a heartbreaking loss to Rockford 16-8
Last night, Forest Hills girls varsity lacrosse took on the Rockford Rams in the Regional semi-finals, falling to them with a score of 16-8. At the half, it was 7-5 and Forest Hills was playing really well, but the girls ended up falling as the Rams overpowered the exhausted Forest Hills players.
Senior leaders helped lead the team to score some goals. Forest Hills Eastern senior Erin Kloostra and Forest Hills Nothern senior Molly Mullett led the team in goals on the night. Forest Hills Eastern sophomore Maggie Mesler also had some goals on the night to assist her team. In the last minute of the game, the Forest Hills offense collected themselves together and scored two goals to add to the score.
This was the last game for Forest Hills this season and overall, they performed really well and really only struggled against the Rockford powerhouse throughout the entire season.
