The FHC Equestrian team, consisting of freshman Masyn Cole, freshman Abby Satterthwaite, sophomore Claire Richardson, and junior Alaina Briggs took home a first place finish in the first district meet of the season.

The team scored seven first place finishes in different events to move them to the top of the rankings of Division C past Gull Lake, Lakewood, and Ionia. They ended with 140 points, while Gull Lake scored 88, Lakewood had 42, and Ionia scored 10 points.

The top two teams in Division C after three district meets will be moving onto Regionals at the end of September, and they hope to keep up their efforts in future meets to make that happen.

The Rangers will be heading back out to Barry County Expo Center in Hastings, Michigan for their next match this Saturday, September 7. It will be a challenge to keep that first place spot, but the Rangers will look to build off the momentum from the first meet.
