The Forest Hills Central ski team had a successful night on the slopes last night. The girls placed very well, earning third place, and the boys team placed sixth.

Senior Kayley Reynolds clutched a first-place victory last night in the women’s Slalom race; her final times were 32.10 and 32.36. Five other seniors on the girls team were able to place very respectably: seniors Courtney McAlindon, Grace Kline, Myah Leavenworth, and Sami Fox. Courtney placed fourth, Grace placed twentieth, Myah placed twenty-ninth, and Sami placed thirty-second. Along with them was sophomore Abby McAlindon, who took fifty-ninth but sadly got disqualified in her last race.

For the boys team, junior Sam Werkema placed twentieth; his times came in at 27.83 and 27.53. Following shortly behind Sam were seniors Nathan Jenkins and Noah Stout. Nathan placed twenty-fourth with times of 28.08 and 27.63. Noah received thirty-first with times coming in at 28.33 and 28.13.

The ski team’s next meet is this Friday, Jan. 25 at Caberfae.
