Boys swim and dive place eighth in MHSAA State Finals

On Friday and Saturday, the boys swim and dive team had many members advance to the State Finals. With the majority of the swim team swimming, the Rangers were able to secure an eighth-place finish in Division 1.

The team was led by senior Henry Schutte, who won both the 50-yard and 100-yard Freestyle titles for the third consecutive year. The Medley relay, which consists of sophomore CJ Hier, freshman Benji Zorn, senior Charlie Krug, and Henry, placed seventh in States.

Sophomore Avery LeTourneau finished in eighth place in the 100-yard Butterfly. CJ touched in tenth place in the 100-yard Backstroke. The 200-yard Freestyle Relay, which consists of Henry, Avery, Charlie, and junior Adam Sands, placed fourth. The 400-yard Freestyle Relay, which consists of Adam, Charlie, Avery, and senior Daniel Bloedow, finished in fourteenth place.

Senior Ryan Talbot and freshman Cole Hysong finished in eighteenth and nineteenth, respectively, in the semi-finals. Ryan and Cole were the only divers from FH to compete.

 The boys swim and dive team finished in second in the OK White conference with an overall record of 7-3 and a conference record of 5-1.
