After coming off a big win opening night against Hudsonville Tuesday night, the JV water polo team suffered a hard loss to the Jenison Wildcats 10-1 on the road. The lone goal on the night came from sophomore Sydney Kushak, and FHE goalie Hannah Heemstra played well despite the end result of the game.

In the first half, the Wildcats got off to a hot start and were overwhelming FH with pressure and physicality both offensively and defensively. Forest Hills had a rough time getting started, as it let in a couple of goals in just the opening moments but settled in as the half went on.

Sydney scored to start out the half with an assist from freshman Caroline Bell, and it seemed like the team would regain some momentum to make a comeback effort to win. But the physicality of the Wildcats both offensively and defensively was too much for FH and Jenison went on another run. Forest Hills fell to Jenison 10-1.

This loss puts the ladies at 1-1 on the season so far. FH will take on multiple teams back at Jenison next for the Jenison JV tournament. To do well, Forest Hills will need to be consistent and get the offense going early.
