Girls JV tennis goes 9-0 at Cedar Springs
The ladies went over to Cedar Springs, competing in a one doubles match as well as 8 other flights (an 8 game pro set). All pairs were able to win their flights, but leading the team was freshmen Liza McCarthy and Lani Quach, sophomores Maddie Knoor and Signa Bylsma, junior Lindsey Elliot, and sophomore Delaney Michalski, who all went 8-0.
Juniors Jenny Baer and Annabel Vermeulen really stood out for FHC, winning their matches 6-0 and 6-2. The pairs of sophomore Koyuki Buckhold and junior Mya Parshall, freshman Leila Gonzalez and sophomore Amanda Lemmeyer, junior Elena Kelbley and sophomore Anastasia Blount, and freshmen Coco Corey and Isabella Wiseley were able to go 8-1 in their flights.
The girls advance to their next home match against their district rival, Forest Hills Northern, on Wednesday, April 24 at 4:15.
